MLM sponsoring is not that challenging if we take the time and invest in building our value to those we will lead.
Your Personal Brand
As we seek to recruit MLM prospects, we should understand that there is an abundance of opportunity in the global market for all of us to build thriving businesses. Certain people will be attracted to us vs. other distributors they may join. We must exhibit the type of leadership people will want to latch on to.
Our challenge, even when we are less established, is to create the perception in a prospect’s mind that the MLM help they may be seeking can be found through us.
Tip #1 Create Our Own Product
We all have something to contribute to others in the industry. We could create a report or eBook comparing the various MLM systems available.
We could create a series of videos on a specific marketing technique we have learned. i.e. How to use Facebook to develop relationships
We could create an audio series discussing how to handle the most common objections network marketers must learn to overcome.
We could also use DVD’s, CD’, and podcasts to deliver our product as well.
Tip #2 Offer Pre-Coaching
One the less known MLM tools that leaders do not use to sponsor more reps is offering pre-coaching to prospective business partners.
When a prospect looks at our opportunity and believes there is a compelling reason to join, answering the following questions will go help create the confidence they need to move forward with us:
Can I do this?
Can I trust this company and team?
How will I be trained?
Can I succeed with this program?
How can I market on the Internet?
We could build answers to these important concerns into our email campaigns, on our website, on our blog, on our video channel, or taking it a step further, we could offer a free 30 minute consultation and place a value on our time. i.e. $150.00
Tip #3 Do Webinars
Our MLM sponsoring can go through the roof if we are willing to put ourselves “out there” by conducting webinars. Yes, it can be a scary thought but think about it. How many people in the Network Marketing industry are doing this? Not many at all! What a way to set ourselves apart!
What can we discuss on webinars? The answer lies in what does our audience need and want? To learn more about our business? Our marketing strategies? Internet automation? The opportunity to connect with us live?
This takes us from someone online to someone that is “real” in our prospect’s eyes. We can be the best we can be and allow people to ask us questions.
In the beginning, if doing a webinar intimidates us, we could trim it down to just a 20 – 30 minute presentation and not open it up for questions and answers at the end. We could announce at the end of the webinar for people to call us and that we will make ourselves available for the next 20 minutes.
Thought in a prospect’s mind? “Newbies don’t have their own product. Newbies don’t offer pre-coaching. Newbies don’t do webinars. This person must know what they’re doing!”

Do you have any information on which network marketing companies allow you to market their products online?

I am not aware of a directory or list of companies that allow you to market online. If you have a company in mind, I suggest you contact their customer service department and ask what their Internet Marketing policies are. Some companies are much stricter than others.

This is an excellent description for branding and marketing YOU! People are not buying the product or the company. They are buying YOU. If they feel you care, and you can truly help, they will listen to every word you say. In this crazy world of hype, BS, and false promises, it’s refreshing for people to see an authentic, transparent person. Especially online, where there is an abundance of hype, BS, and false promises from the so-called guru’s.
