MLM Recruiting – How to Work Wonders With a Little Technology

MLM recruiting is an art form.

Let’s look into the lives of 2 successful network marketers.  Nick and Nicky.  Both have become master MLM recruiters.

Nick started out as an aspiring individual who caught the vision of what is possible in the industry.  He was told that to excel in MLM prospecting, he would need to start off by making a list of at least 100 people that he knew.  With his sponsor’s help, Nick contacted the people on his list and was fortunate to sponsor a few people.

After a few months of diligent effort, Nick was on his way.  Sure, there were setbacks and challenges he had to endure.  Some family members told him he was crazy and others accused him of being involved in scam.  After his initial effort, he had helped a few people sponsor a few people themselves and now was nicely supplementing his income.

Nick invested a lot of time attending his company’s local hotel meetings and trainings. He held meetings in his house and helped support meetings at homes of his MLM downline. He flew out to company events.  It really didn’t matter to Nick that some of his family now didn’t want anything to do with him because of the numerous attempts he made in recruiting them despite their disinterest.

As his popularity in his MLM program grew due to his persistence, so did his commission checks.  After 14 months, Nick was able to quit his job.  He was now a trainer for his company and conducted several conference calls per week.  He traveled several weeks per quarter, received several 3-way calls per day from his downline, and worked 60+ hour weeks.  Nick worked hard but that hard worked had paid off.  He was now a multiple 6-figure earner and had made it!

Nicky had a much different experience with network marketing recruiting.  Just like Nick, Nicky fell in love with the MLM industry.  She joined a team who built their business primarily on the Internet.  Instead of live meetings, Nicky’s team did webinars.  Instead of 3-way calls, Nicky’s team had websites and follow up email messages that answered the majority of questions prospects had.

Nicky focused on lead generation.  Instead of making a list of friends and family, Nicky invested time into learning how mlm recruiting could be done using Internet Marketing.  Nicky learned how to build capture pages.  She learned how to build a list of prospects and how to communicate with that list via email.  She learned how to build compelling websites that informed prospects about her opportunity.  She learned how to create valuable content to share with her list.

It took several months for Nicky to start earning a consistent income.  But by the time 14 months had passed, Nicky was now a multiple 6 figure earner, worked approximately 20 hours per week, and had systems in place to help her run her business from the comfort of her home on her laptop computer.  Her primary opportunity was one of several income sources since Nicky had learned how to promote other products and services to her email list.  Nicky enjoyed a great lifestyle!

Nick and Nicky both experienced success in 2 very different ways.  Which lifestyle appeals to you?

Very interesting look at the 2 sides of MLM … if anyone has doubts about which is for them, your examples help make it very clear that online marketing has some very powerful bonuses … just the one example of 20 hours vs. 60 hours per week is sure to get people’s attention!

    Keep up the good work!

Out with the old and in with the new! Your article really illustrates how the new paradigm is changing the industry. If a person is in MLM and he is not getting online, he will be left behind. I’m on board, Eddie, because it’s going to be a fabulous ride!

Eddie this is a great way to put it!
Some people are going to want to do it Nick’s way, and I believe there is nothing wrong with that whatsoever, however, I like Nicky’s approach a lot better :) Leveraging your time and efforts with the incredible power of the internet is simply where it’s at!

    Awesome examples Eddie,
